About Patty

I live in a former winery in the Vallée de Fleury, in the south of Burgundy. Stone walls, blue shutters, and a valley that does most of the talking. I work with birth charts and Human Design charts here. Mostly from my office, over Zoom, for people in Panama, Rotterdam and Portland. And sometimes right here: at the table in the tiny villa, or somewhere else on the land.

That is the short version. The longer one took twenty-five years.

Before this

I spent twenty-five years inside companies. Philips, Atos, and then five years at ASML, where I ran a development programme for the people the organisation had decided were exceptional. I studied psychology alongside it.

I was good at the work. It never quite reached the thing I was after.

What I kept running into was the same two questions, in one conversation after another, from people who by every measure were doing well. Who am I, actually. And what is this life for. Nothing in the toolkit answered them — not the assessments, not the models, not the leadership frameworks.

Then astrology

I had been studying psychological astrology since 2004. It felt like a double life, because it did not fit my job title.

In 2014 I began the full apprenticeship with Steven Forrest — three years, finishing at Master Practitioner level. That was also the year I left and started my own coaching practice.

There is a film about that decision, shot at Lake Como where it happened. Watch it on the home page.

And then Human Design

A few years later I went into Human Design expecting to have seen it all before. I had not.

I qualified as an analyst through the International Human Design School and went on to the BG5 certifications, the part of Human Design aimed at entrepreneurs, employees and teams.

Astrology is where I start. Human Design is the manual that comes with it.

In your corner

I see it before you do. And I keep seeing it until you see it too.

That is a translation of my own design more than anything else. The thoughts spinning around in your head about who you think you are do not reach me. No pep talk. No pom-poms. I just do not look away.

What I do now

I work with people in a turn: work that stopped fitting, a relationship changing shape, a decade arriving with a number on it.

Before we speak I read your whole birth chart and your Human Design chart. I lay the two over each other and look for where the lines meet. Astrology shows where you come from and where your life is reaching. Human Design shows how you work: how you make decisions, where your energy comes from, what you can leave alone.

Out of that comes a written guide that is yours to keep. Something you open again a year from now and find other things in.

Mostly one to one, sometimes with couples or business partners, occasionally with a team. And it does not stop when we hang up. You get a check-in from me at every new moon and every full moon, and between sessions you can reach me.

My clients are in Panama, Rotterdam and Portland, so I usually work from my office over Zoom. A few times a year I make room here for someone who comes to work with me.

“Working with Patty has brought me greater focus, deeper awareness, and a much clearer roadmap of where I am headed and why.”

Following My North Star

Most people have something they’d do if things were different. The thing you keep almost deciding. And there’s always a reason to wait: the money, the timing, the mortgage, what people will think, the fact that you’re already rather good at what you do.

I waited for years. Then I left a career I was good at and didn’t want, and started reading charts instead.

Five years later, on my fiftieth birthday, my husband Florus and I went back to Lake Como, where I’d been studying when I made that decision. We went to honour it. Florus is a filmmaker, and he made it into a tribute.

It’s a film about doing it anyway.

“My teacher Steve once said to me: one day you will have to forget about me, forget about all your teachers, and become you, Patty. And that is exactly what I did.”

Eighteen minutes.

If you genuinely want to know what it takes to make a decision that changes your life, this is it.

People tend to write to me afterwards. Sometimes about the film. More often about a decision of their own they’ve been circling for years.

Where to go next

The film about the decision is on the home page. If you would rather just talk, book a call — thirty minutes, no pitch at the end of it.
